Priyanka Chopra is back in Mumbai and last night she attended the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2020. The ‘Barfi!’ actress also graced the runway. PeeCee looked stunning in an all-black outfit and she was an absolute head turner. As it was one of the major fashion events it would have been incomplete without remembering late designer Wendell Rodricks. Priyanka paid a heartfelt tribute to the designer who breathed his last on February 12.
Priyanka gave a special heartfelt tribute to Wendell as she spoke in his remembrance on stage. “It’s only apt on a night like this in the presence of so many luminaries from the Indian fashion industry that we remember Wendell Rodricks. He was a pioneer, he was a visionary of Indian fashion and he will always and forever be missed,” the actress shared.

Days before his death, Wendell was in the headlines for slamming Priyanka’s Grammy outfit. He had written on his Instagram page, “The neckline goes all the way from LA to Cuba.”
But, when the news of his death came about, Priyanka’s mother Madhu offered her heartfelt condolences as she told SpotboyE, “We have lost a great, talented man. I couldn’t believe that Wendell is no more. He had just brought in two puppies to his house to shelter them. He was an ardent dog-lover. Life is so unpredictable.”
“We hold no grudges against Wendell. Disagreements happen and one shouldn’t keep it forever. Wendell was a nice guy. Priyanka worked with him in ‘Fashion,” she had further added.
