Priyanka Chopra hints her fans about her role in The Matrix Resurrections, ‘Just a small fish in a huge pond’

In her forthcoming film, The Matrix Resurrections, Priyanka Chopra describes her role as a “little fish in a big pond.” Priyanka took to Instagram to announce the release date of the Matrix 4’s trailer as well as a link to the teaser. Priyanka Chopra had captioned the post, “Yep! it’s almost time to take that pill…Trailer Thursday at 6 AM PT (6:30 pm IST). Go ahead and click the link in my bio to experience it yourself. The choice is yours! #TheMatrixMovie @thematrixmovie.”

Sharing her post on Instagram Stories, actor and television host Mini Mathur wrote, “Oh my God @priyankachopra. This is so mad cool!! Can’t wait to see what you bring to this film!!” Resharing her post on Instagram Stories, Priyanka replied, “Just a small fish in a huge pond babe! But happy for the opportunity! The love!! @minimathur.”

The characters initial appearance was disclosed in a unique way on the interactive website WhatIsTheMatrix.com. The users were given the option of taking the blue pill or the red pill. Each choice selected by the users provided them with a unique perspective on what looked to be the core plot of The Matrix Resurrections. The footage changed slightly each time a user clicked on a pill. The trailer will be released on September 9th.

Lana Wachowski’s fourth film in The Matrix franchise is set to be released in theatres and on HBO max on December 22. Lana and her sister Lilly Wachowski co-directed and co-wrote the first three Matrix films. Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jada Pinkett Smith, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Jessica Henwick, Telma Hopkins, Erendira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Christina Ricci, and Brian J Smith also appear in the film.

Meanwhile, Priyanka will co-star in Text For You with Celine Dion and Sam Heughan. In addition, she has been filming for her forthcoming series Citadel in London.

Aside from that, she will co-star with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the recently announced Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa, which will mark Farhan Akhtar’s comeback to directing.
