Priyanka Chopra’s husband Nick Jonas had almost slipped into a coma; says, “I was very scared”

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have been giving us some ultimate couple-goals since they were hitched. They broke the internet with their fairytale dreamy wedding and their fans can’t get enough of what a perfect couple they are. But not many know that PeeCee’s husband Nick Jonas has been battling a health condition since he was 13. Nick has always been vocal about being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes since a young age and he recently recalled when he almost slipped into a coma.

In a recent interview with Cigar Aficionado magazine, the ‘Jealous’ singer had mentioned how he had to be rushed to the hospital at the right time or he would have slipped into a coma. He said, “I was very close to a coma. Like, a day away, if I hadn’t gone to the hospital. I kept asking my parents, ‘Am I going to be OK?’ I was just so concerned that it was going to limit my ability to do all the things I wanted to do. I was very scared. I found out very quickly it’s a very manageable disease – as long as you’re really diligent.”

He has also spoke about his Diabetes multiple times, even on social media, he had posted about his journey of living with the condition and overcoming it. He wrote that 13 years ago he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. In the post were two pictures, on the left was him a few weeks after his diagnosis. Barely 100 pounds after having lost so much weight from his blood sugar being so high before going to the doctor where he found out he was diabetic. On the right was him now. Happy and healthy. He says he is prioritizing his physical health, working out and eating healthy and keeping his blood sugar in check. He has taken full control of his day to day life with this disease, and he feels so grateful to his family and loved ones who have helped him.
