Priyanka Chopra has been one of the instrumental voices who has been using her voice to raise donations and help India in her own way to fight the second wave of COVID 19. It is well known globally now that the second wave in India with regards to COVID 19 was the worst and the country is still reeling with the number of death tolls not going down. Priyanka Chopra along with a few others started a fundraiser to help the needy have access to resources like oxygen cylinders and concentrators to fight the pandemic.
In a new story, Priyanka Chopra shared that with the funds they could collect, the actress was able to arrange for 500 oxygen concentrators, 422 oxygen cylinders, and manpower for 10 vaccination centers. She also revealed that with this, they would be able to help at least 6000 people get vaccinations in the next two months.
“Please know that you have helped save lives,” Priyanka Chopra wrote while expressing her gratitude to fans. She also added that they have increased the fundraiser to $3 million.
On her social media, Priyanka Chopra has been actively sharing information about the Covid-19 precautions and resources available. A few days back when Priyanka announced the fundraiser on her Instagram, in a video message said, “India, my home, is suffering the world’s worst Covid crisis, and we all need to help!” Priyanka Chopra is currently in the USA.
