Priyanka Chopra lauds the Indian representation in Bridgerton 2

Bridgerton Season 2 is currently making the fans go gaga right now as Lady Whisteldown’s drama and, Anthony and Kate Sharma’s palpable chemistry is unmissable. Priyanka Chopra has always been appreciative of South Asian representation in western content and looks like she is a fan of Bridgerton in season 2.

For the unversed, Bridgerton season 2 shows Indian characters Edwina Sharma and Kate Sharma as the leading ladies which is played by Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran. Priyanka took to her Instagram account and appreciated the Indian representation in Bridgerton 2.

Sharing a picture of Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran from the sets of Bridgerton 2, Priyanka wrote, “I have to say.. it’s so wonderful to see desi representation on mainstream TV. It was such an anomaly when I started. Love the show and the Sharma sisters (sic).”

Earlier in an interview with Lily Singh on her show, A Little Late with Lilly Singh opened up about Bridgerton season 2. Priyanka said she had been binge-watching the show during the lockdown, “I mean, come on, that is what everyone has really been doing. I may sound like I have been super productive but there was a lot of time for binging. I watched, like everybody, Bridgerton, which was a lot of fun”. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka Chopra will be seen next in the movie Text For You which is a romantic comedy. She will also be seen in the Amazon Prime series Citadel with Richard Madden. It was also announced that Priyanka will be seen in Ending Things with Anthony Mackie.
