This is why Priyanka Chopra’s mom was upset with her intimate wedding with Nick Jonas

Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to Nick Jonas was one of the best weddings Bollywood fans have seen in recent times. From lavish set ups to dream destinations, both the families made sure that the wedding was something to be remembered for generations. However, there was someone who was not quite happy with the intimate wedding. Any guesses who that was?

Well, it was PeeCee’s mom Madhu Chopra. Yes, the bride’s mom wasn’t quite happy with the wedding proceedings. Wonder why? Priyanka opened about the same at The Ellen DeGeneres Show last night.

“Usually Indian weddings have like a thousand people, we had only 200 which was mostly family. Both of us have giant families,” she said. When Ellen prodded further as to why she didn’t call in 1000 guests, PeeCee said, “Because we wanted to keep it intimate. We wanted to keep it just about family.”

Priyanka went on to add about her how her mother was upset. “My mother was so upset with me the whole time. She was like I need to have another party for the 150,000 people I know. How can I not invite my jeweller, how can I not invite my hairdresser? This was the conversation,” said Priyanka.

Priyanka and Nick got hitched on a December 1-2 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, in a grand extravaganza. The two had been dating for quite sometime, and decided to take their relationship to the next level. As her mom wanted to invite lot of people to the wedding but couldn’t, she fulfilled her dream by calling in the who’s who of B-Town for the reception parties thrown in Mumbai and Delhi. The Delhi reception even saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi come in to wish the couple.
