Here’s why Priyanka Chopra added Jonas to her name after marriage

Priyanka Chopra is now a global entity, isn’t she? The ‘Quantico’ actress has come a long way since her Miss World days and she has proven her class by slogging it out and working tirelessly for the past 15 years. Priyanka also married her soul mate American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur in December 2018.

Now, PeeCee appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’ starring Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy and Priyanka are great buddies and she was there to promote her new Hollywood flick ‘Isn’t It Romantic’, which also stars Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth. Jimmy is also good friends with Nick Jonas.

During the show, Jimmy asked Priyanka about taking Nick’s last name i.e. Jonas. Priyanka said she is a little old school and traditional, so she wanted to take the Jonas surname. The ‘Baywatch’ actress also talked about not wanting to get married in India and on some sort of island.

The United Nations brand ambassador also talked about the sangeet ceremony and why her celebrity nickname ”PRICK” (a mashup of Priyanka and Nick’s name and please do not confuse it with slang for male genitalia) is not catching up.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is busy with Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’. This unique film also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in lead roles. ‘The Sky Is Pink’ is scheduled to release later this year.
