Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif will be seen together in Farhan Akhtar’s film Jee Le Zaraa. The film was announced last year and the actresses are yet to start shooting for the same. However, ever since the project was announced, fans of the actresses are beyond excited for it. Now, in a recent interview, Priyanka revealed why she said yes to work Alia and Katrina in the film.
The ‘Quantico’ star called Alia and Katrina ‘two of the top actresses in the country’. Speaking with Deadline, she said, “The three of us decided we wanted to do a movie together and partner together to produce it. But the idea is, yes, it was very different when I started out. We were all pitted against each other, and our casting was very dependent on the lead actor of the movie, and it depends on who is the flavor at that time and that was very unsettling feeling.”
She added, “It is a really telling question because it really gave my career a very specific director because of a specific uncomfortable feeling.”

Last year, announcing the film, Priyanka had shared a picture with the actresses and captioned, “Let’s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019. But it had to be the right one – different, cool, never been done before… I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!” She then went on to narrate how she met her friends to discuss the film and Jee Le Zaraa happened.
Jee Le Zaraa is directed by Farhan Akhtar and produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, and Tiger Baby, headed by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
