PeeCee on being ‘cornered’ in Bollywood
When asked about why she chose to speak about her past after years, Priyanka said, “On that podcast I was asked about the journey of my life. I was talking about the truth of my journey and I think now I was confident enough to talk about that phase of my life.”
PeeCee added, “I think now, where I am, I was okay enough to articulate what I felt. I had a very tumultuous relationship with what occurred but I forgave, I moved on a long time ago and then I made my peace with it. I think that’s why it was easy for me to talk about it in an open manner.”
For the uninitiated, while speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka had opened up about her music career. She had said, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”
The actress added that music gave her an opportunity to ‘go into another part of the world.” In her music career, Priyanka worked with Pitbull, Will.I.Am and Pharell Williams.
Talking about her upcoming project, Citadel also stars Richard Madden. The upcoming thriller series is slated to release on 28th April.
On the other hand, Priyanka recently made heads turn with her stunning appearances at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) event with husband-singer Nick Jonas.
