Priyanka Chopra savagely shuts down a journo who questioned her qualification as Oscar nominees announcer

Recently Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the nominees for this year’s Academy Awards. The couple were elated when the actress’ latest release The White Tiger bagged a nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category.

After Nick and PeeCee announced the nominees, an Australian entertainment journalist questioned the power couple’s qualification to announce Oscar nominees. Priyanka, who is known for her sharpness, wasted no time in giving it back to the journo in the most humble way. Read on to know what she said.

The Australian entertainment journalist Peter Ford’s Twitter bio reads as ‘The best & most widely heard entertainment reporter in Australia & NZ. Allegedly’. Now reacting to the Oscar announcements, the journo took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to the movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees(sic).”

Responding to the journo’s tweet, PeeCee tweeted, “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration(sic).”

Following Priyanka’s reply, the journalist has made his Twitter account private. Showering Priyanka with praise for her sassy reply, one of her fans commented, “You are the most awesome Indian i know of. No need to display your creds,you are all the cred we need.proud of u.(sic).” Whereas, another user commented, “Ace reply Priyanka Chopra Jonas… Well said a tight slap on Ford… Now on his tyres(sic).”

The way The White Tiger actress schooled the Aussie journalist was hailed by the netizens. Interestingly this is not the first time when the Barfi actress has given it back to a journo. Previously too she has handled similar situations with elan.
