Priyanka Chopra slams comedian Hasan Minhaj as he takes a dig at Nick Jonas and her marriage

When Priyanka Chopra announced her relationship with American singer and actor Nick Jonas in 2018, it came as a surprise for the audience and in a few months, the couple got married as well. While the whole world celebrated this union wholeheartedly and Nick became the ‘National jiju’, there was still a section who doubted the credibility of the marriage and the reason behind it. Till date, some people continue to do so. Recently, Indian origin American comedian Hasan Minhaj took a dig at Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ marriage, and now the actress has reacted to it.

In his recently released stand up special, The King’s Jester, Hasan took a dig at Priyanka-Nick’s marriage saying, “Priyanka Chopra’s wedding was fake. Why can’t we say that? Who marries Nick Jonas unironically?,” as he pointed out some of his ‘honest’ opinions as jokes. He also mentioned that activist Malala Yousafzai follows him on Instagram while he doesn’t follow her back.

After the stand up streamed on Netflix, Malala took to her Instagram stories to take a poll, asking her followers if she should unfollow Hasan. With many people saying yes, she eventually unfollowed him after which Hasan released another video, asking Malala to follow him back while also mentioning at the end that he still doesn’t know if he would follow her back, saying, “I am that petty”.

Now, Priyanka has taken to her Instagram stories to appreciate Malala’s move while also slamming the comedian for being petty. Sharing a screenshot of Hasan’s Instagram ID that shows that he follows her while she doesn’t follow him back, Priyanka wrote, “Same girl same! @malala Guess he prefers petty over funny. (sic)”.

Priyanka and Nick got married in December 2018 in a lavish ceremony in India and the couple has been going strong ever since. This year in January, the couple became parents to a baby girl whom they named Malti Marie, and they keep sharing glimpses of their cute family moments on social media.
