Priyanka Chopra to cast Anushka Sharma for her first Hindi production?

Bollywood has come up with many movies consisting of an ensemble cast. Last year, one prime example of this was Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do.’ The film which had a stellar star cast featured two of the current contemporary actresses Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma for the first time in one frame. Both of them who shared a good rapport while they were promoting this movie may team up once again for another project.

Recently, Priyanka Chopra turned producer with her home banner Purple Pebble Pictures. After announcing three different projects in regional films, producer Priyanka may start working on her first Hindi project soon. Apparently, Anushka would be roped in for this movie.

Sources say, “She will play a cop in what will be Priyanka’s first Hindi production. PC was supposed to act in the film, but decided to just take credit as a producer since she will be seen as a police officer in Prakash Jha’s ‘Jai Gangaajal’. The film’s storyline is interesting and is being closely guarded at the moment.”

“This will be the first time an actress will be producing a film for her contemporary. The pre-production work is underway and as soon as the paperwork is completed, an official announcement will be made,” added the source.

The film may see a debutant female director calling the shots where the plan to start shooting is in the month of December 2016.

Still, the confirmation has to be done from both actresses but surely it would be interesting to see these co-actors work again, this time as a producer-actor jodi.

Currently, Priyanka Chopra is busy shooting for her television series ‘Quantico,’ whereas Anushka Sharma is busy shooting for two films ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Sultan.’
