Desi girl Priyanka Chopra is all set to add another feather to her hat. The diva, who has made a mark in the field of acting, singing and production, is all set to invest in tech startups. The ‘Quantico’ star will embark on a new “chapter” as an investor in tech start-up Holberton School, a coding education company, as well as in dating and social media app Bumble. This is also an effort on her part to help change the tech industry’s gender disparity.
As per a report in CNN, Priyanka Chopra was one of the high-profile women who had helped Bumble to kickstart its networking app, Bumble Bizz, in October 2017.
Taking to her Instagram account, PeeCee shared, “A new chapter for me! I am so excited to partner with @bumble and @holbertonschool as an investor. I’m honoured to join two companies that strive to expand gender diversity in the tech space, and make a social impact for the greater good… let’s do this!!”
Priyanka will be investing in the dating and social media app Bumble which was founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd. She will be helping in launching the dating app in India in the coming months. This will be her second investment in a tech company, besides the coding education company called Holberton School.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is busy with the shoot of her upcoming film ‘The Sky Is Pink’ that also features Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in pivotal roles. She has also signed up for the Hollywood film ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking’ co-starring Chris Pratt.
