A breakdown of Priyanka and Nick’s million dollar Christian wedding outfits

After Deepika and Ranveer’s Konkani and Anand Karaj wedding ceremonies, Priyanka and Nick exchanged wedding vows as per both Christian and Hindu rituals. What can be more delightful than seeing the union of two cultures! The wedding festivities started with a puja followed by mehendi, sangeet and then the Christian wedding on December 1. As per a report in People magazine, Nick’s father Paul Kevin Jonas Sr. officiated the Christian wedding. The couple exchanged wedding bands by popular jeweler Chopard.

As it was a Christian wedding, Priyanka donned a white gown by renowned designer Ralph Lauren and Nick too was in the same designer’s outfit. Today, the designer shared the details about the ensembles. As described by the designer, Priyanka’s “strapless column gown embellished with pearlescent sequins was overlaid with a hand-embroidered, high-neck coat with scalloped sleeves and satin-covered buttons”. Words and phrases including ‘Family’, ‘Hope’, and ‘Compassion’ were embroidered in her gown that was suggested by the bride. The embroidery took almost 1,826 hours to complete the gown. The strapless gown had 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins in it. She completed her dress with a 75-foot-long customised veil. Her wedding footwear was from Jimmy Choo.

Nick wore a black tuxedo that had a piece of Priyanka’s gown which was hand-embroidered with the Urdu words, “My Jaan”. This piece of the gown was at the interior lapel of his jacket just over his heart as described by Ralph Lauren.

Not only the couple, but also the bridesmaids, groomsmen, their parents, flower girls to the ring bearer were in the same designer’s outfits.
