Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam to be together on the big screen again

Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Sanam Re’ didn’t do great at the box office, but the fresh chemistry between Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam won everyone’s heart. They were even rumoured to be dating each other, although none of them ever acknowledged it. However, the good news is, you are going to see the ‘Sanam Re’ pair back again, on the big screen!

Titled ‘Junooniyat’, the romantic flick was in fact filmed and completed before ‘Sanam Re’, but it didn’t make it to the theatres. Instead, ‘Sanam Re’ was released before that film. Now the producers (same for both the films) have decided to release it and it would hit the theatres on June 24.

“The shooting has been held extensively in Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Pulkit plays an Army officer in the film while Yami plays a local girl,” a source was quoted stating to DNA.

Quite interestingly, ‘Junooniyat’ was shot when Pulkit Samrat had just tied the knot with Shweta Rohira (whom he divorced a couple of months ago) and rumours of him dating Yami Gautam didn’t surface back then. Given that, we are to see if their on-screen chemistry is as intense as that of ‘Sanam Re’.

The film has been directed by Vivek Agnihotri, whose ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam’ recently hit the theatres.
