Purab Kohli on uncle Vishal Anand’s death: We would like to remember him through his song ‘Chalte Chalte’

Veteran actor-filmmaker Vishal Anand passed away on October 4. The 82-year-old actor passed away due to prolonged illness. Vishal’s real name was Bhisham Kohli. He was popularly known for his film ‘Chalte Chalte’ that released in 1976. The songs of this film are still loved by the music aficionados.

Vishal was legendary actor Dev Anand’s nephew. Whereas actor Purab Kohli is Vishal’s nephew. After Vishal’s death, Purab recently issued a statement on the behalf of his family.

According to ABP News, Purab refrained from revealing any detail about his uncle Vishal Anand’s death. Speaking about his late uncle, Purab issued a statement that reads, “Bhishma Kohli, popularly known as Vishal Anand died on 04 October 2020. He was 82 years old and his health was deteriorating for the last several months.”

“We would like to remember him through the superhit song ‘Chalte Chalte’ released in 1976. Our prayers are with him and we wish that his soul may rest in peace,” it read further.

Simi Garewal starred opposite Vishal in ‘Chalte Chalte’ that released in 1976. That film remains one of the most noted works in Vishal’s career. A member of Anand family, in his career, Vishal featured in 11 films, producing as well as directing some of them. ‘Taxi Driver, ‘Hindustan Ki Kasam’, ‘Kismet’, and ‘Dil Se Mile Dil’ are some of the films in which Vishal featured.
