R. Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect receives standing ovation at Cannes

Actor and filmmaker R Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect premiered at the ongoing 75th Cannes Film Festival. The movie which is based on the life of renowned scientist Nambi Narayanan has been directed and produced by the actor. It also features Simran Bagga, Rajit Kapur and Misha Ghoshal in significant roles.

R Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on true events and garnered much praise from the audience as it premiered at the prestigious event. It received a deafening standing ovation from the full house at Palais des Festivals for ten whole minutes!

Director Dhoop Ashwini took to Twitter to share that the movie was amazing and the team received standing ovations and applause from the audience. Sharing a video, he wrote, “Fab job Director Sahib @ActorMadhavan. Big hug and huge congratulations from the team.”

Responding to the love and great reception the film received at Cannes R Madhavan, said, “I’m overwhelmed and exhilarated. It’s a surreal moment for all of us at Team Rocketry! Humbled and grateful By God’s grace.Thank you for all your love and support.”

Madhavan further added, “We would like to really thank our Minister Thakur and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and everybody who came here and made it possible at such short notice. We couldn’t have asked for a better stage to showcase this film. Thank you so very much.”

R Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be released in theatres worldwide on July 1. The movie also has actors Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan playing cameos. It will be released in Tamil, English, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
