R. Madhavan Too Dons Boxing Gloves

Well ‘Boxing’ seems to be the hot favorite of Bollywood. After Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor now we have R. Madhavan too playing a boxer in his next. He plays a retired boxer in Sudha Kongara’s movie. The actor will be seen in a beefed-up avatar and will sport long hair and a beard. The cast of the untitled sports-drama, will mostly consist of professional boxers.

According to sources, To fit into the role, R. Madhavan had to go through an arduous session where he not only trained in amateur boxing under the watchful eyes of Hollywood experts specializing in training actors, but also worked extensively on his appearance.
Madhavan said: “When I got into the boxing ring for the first time, I didn’t last for even a minute. Now, I have a renewed sense of respect for boxers. It’s the most physically challenging role I have done. I’ve spent most of my time in the gym trying to look the part.”
