Actress Radhika Apte who has always made headlines for her fiery and fearless on-screen performance, recently opened up about the infamous issue of casting couch in Bollywood, during an interview with a tabloid.
While she says she knows a lot of people who have been through this, Radhika herself was never a victim of it. However, she recalls an incident where a phone call approached her to please the makers of a film in order to get through the star cast,.
“Once I got a call and they said ‘they’re doing this film in Bollywood and I want you to have a meeting with them. But would you be okay sleeping with that person?’ And I laughed! I said you’re so funny, you’re very funny and I said no I’m not. Ask him to go to hell,” The ‘Phobia’ actress said.
Radhika’s ‘Parched’ co-star Surveen Chawla had also spoken about the same where she acknowledged casting couch as a serious problem which needs to be addressed soon.
