Rahul Bose led a special ‘Ladkiyan Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hain’ trek on Women’s day

This year on Women’s Day, actor Rahul Bose led a special ‘Ladkiyan Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hain‘, that highlighted Poorna’s undying spirit to fearlessly achieve her dreams. Poorna is a thirteen year old girl who climbed Mount Everest, even when the odds were against her.

Speaking before the occasion, Rahul shared, “If she can climb Mount Everest, we can do a trek at least!” The trek took place in the Sausage and Barometer Hill in Lonavala and involved Mumbai-based girls between the age group of 13-30. The actor had the time of his life, as he also engaged in some interactions with the girls, who spoke about the challenges they faced in their lives and how they developed the courage to overcome them.

The whole idea of the initiative was to stand up for gender equality. The trek was streamed live by the Facebook India team. Not just the girls, but even Rahul had stories to share to them about Poorna’s journey. He shared how there was never a moment when she feared achieving her dreams.

The actor has directed a biopic on the young girl, the trailer and song of which are being loved for its inspiring content.

Directed by Rahul Bose and produced by Rahul Bose Productions, ‘Poorna’ is slated to release on March 31, 2017.
