Rahul Rawail booked for outraging woman’s modesty

Veteran filmmaker Rahul Rawail and his son have an FIR been filed against them, they have been booked under Sections 452 IPC for trespassing, 509 IPC for intent to insult the modesty of a woman and 504 IPC. The filmmaker who is known to have launched Aishwarya Rai, Kajol in Bollywood, had recently been in the news for resigning from the Oscar selection jury panel.

Rahul Rawail’s neighbour Thiya D’Souza a resident of Vaz Bungalow has alleged that on October 10, at 2.30 am Rawail and his son barged into Thiya’s apartment when she was with two friends to fight with her for throwing garbage outside her window which landed on his air-condition duct. She added that though she initially refused to open the door she later decided to confront them. However once inside they abused and insulted her.

Rahul Rawail said that Thiya has bee feeding strays in the society premises and he had asked his driver to remove the dog from the premises.
