Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s legal team warn Sherlyn Chopra against ‘an offence of defamation’

Model-actor Sherlyn Chopra, who was also questioned in relation to the Raj Kundra case, will be hosting a press conference in Mumbai on Thursday. In this press conference, Sherlyn Chopra is said to be revealing details about the accusations made against Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. It will take place at the Juhu police station where Sherlyn will be joined by her team of advocates.

Ahead of her press con, Raj and Shilpa’s legal team released a statement in which they stated that they will take legal action against Sherlyn’s alleged statement. The statement read, “The due process of law must be followed for the alleged statement that Miss Chopra wants to make. Calling for a press conference to do this reflects a strong intention to commit an offence of defamation. Anything spoken by Miss Chopra in the public domain shall be held against her in the court of Law. She shall be liable for civil and criminal proceedings before competent courts.”

Sherlyn had earlier taken a dig at Shilpa Shetty in one of her interviews. The model had shared the clip on her social media account in which she was heard saying, “You do sashtang pranams on TV to those artists whose art you are influenced by. Please show some sympathy to the women who are suffering by stepping out of reel life and going into the real world. Believe me, the whole world will bow down to you!”

Meanwhile, Raj Kundra was arrested in relation to a pornography case. He was released on bail in September.
