Raj Kundra’s police custody ended on July 27 and he was taken to a court in Mumbai for the bail plea hearing where his plea was rejected and was sent to judicial custody for 14 days along with Ryan Thorpe in the pornography case. The latest update is Raj Kundra’s bail plea has been rejected again by a magistrate’s court today as he was alleged as the “key conspirator” in the porn racket case.

Raj, who is married to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, was arrested on July 19 for allegedly making and publishing pornographic content through various mobile apps. A few days back, police recorded Shilpa’s statement as they questioned her if she knew about Kundra’s alleged link to pornographic films. The actress said that she was unaware of the exact nature of the content on ‘Hotshots’ – the mobile app, Mumbai Police sources had told ANI. She said that there was another accused – London-based Pradeep Bakshi, Kundra’s brother-in-law who was involved with the app.
Mumbai Police Crime Branch official told news agency PTI that Shilpa is yet to be given clean chit in Raj Kundra’s pornography case.
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court granted anticipatory bails to model-actors Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra and also stated that no coercive action would be taken against them till September 20, 2021.
