Raj Kundra opens up on UT 69 title for biopic has an innuendo, says, ‘Sex and Shah Rukh Khan sells in Bollywood’

Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra is grabbing attention ever since his arrest in pornography case in 2021. He is all set to shed light on the reality and mark his acting debut with UT 69. The trailer of Raj Kundra’s biopic UT 69 was unveiled on 18th October 2023. At the trailer launch, Raj Kundra unmasked himself for the first time after his bail. He also got emotional for allegations against his family and spoke about Shah Rukh Khan and sex selling the most in Bollywood.

During the trailer launch, the actor was asked whether any innuendo is attached to number 69 and according to him what sells in Bollywood. To which Raj replied, “Some sites get views in a week whereas others take years. Humara desh enjoy karta hai yeh. Kehte hai na do cheez bikti hai India aur Bollywood mein, Shah Rukh Khan aur sex (There are two things that sell in this country and Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and sex).”

Raj Kundra also explained the reason behind titling his biopic UT 69. He shared, “So UT stands for Under Trial and 69 was the number given to me as I went in. That was really horrible. I later researched about it and found that 69 is an angel number for balance and peace.“

About Raj Kundra’s arrest

Kundra was arrested in July 2021 in connection to the alleged creation and uploading of pornographic films on mobile applications. In December 2022, he was given bail by the Supreme Court.

The trailer showcases his tough times in Arthur Road jail with a dash of humour. The biopic is all set for release on 3^rd November.
