Rajeev Khandelwal is all set to get behind the mic and croon a song for his forthcoming flick ‘Fever’. He is to record the promotional version of the song ‘Teri Yaad’ on July 25. The original version has been sung by Rahul Jain.
Here’s what Rajeev said to a tabloid, “I’m not a singer but I love singing. My director, Rajeev Jhaveri, and music director, Rahul, suggested that I sing this one and I agreed to give it a shot. I’ve been rehearsing with Rahul who will also be singing with me.”
Rajeev said that he never shied away from singing, and always took part in the singing competitions at his college, but only lost because he wasn’t a trained singer. He candidly revealed that now he only sings for his wife Manjiri, who too is not that encouraging as the actor changes lyrics while singing. He says, “I sang Arijit Singh’s ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from ‘Aashiqui 2’ for her for the longest time and she still isn’t impressed.” Among the current actresses singing, he really likes Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor’s voices. “Among the singers I am a huge fan of the versatile Kishore Kumar and Sonu Nigam.”
