Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’ release shifted to January 2018

Diwali 2017 was to see three biggies lock horns at the box office. It was said that Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Golmaal Again’ will be releasing on the same date.

However, one of the film’s has now averted this clash and shifted its release. The makers of ‘2.0’ are apparently not ready with the VFX effects of the film and have shifted their release to January 25.

It was only recently that Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’ was announced to release this Diwali. Aamir’s next production, on the other hand, which was earlier supposed to release in August, had also been shifted to Diwali. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh had taken to Twitter to write, “Aamir Khan Productions’ #SecretSuperstar will now release in Diwali 2017. Zee Studios presents. Directed by Advait Chandan.”

Alright, then. It means that now, the clash will be between ‘Golmaal Again’ and ‘Secret Superstar’.

While ‘Secret Superstar’ stars Zaira Wasim, who won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for ‘Dangal’, ‘Golmaal Again’ features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu along with some new additions in the form of Parineeti Chopra, Tabu and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
