Rajkummar and Patralekhaa rubbish rumours of the actress opting out of ‘Panga’

Kangana Ranaut has a list of movies in her kitty. She has also signed director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Panga’. It is a sports drama on Kabaddi and the ‘Queen’ actress is playing a national level Kabaddi player. The film also stars Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi.

Earlier there were reports Rajkummar Rao’s girlfriend Patralekhaa also being a part of the movie as a parallel lead to Kangana. But as per the latest buzz, she has walked out of the movie as Rajkummar asked Patralekhaa to quit the movie. Rajkummar warned his girlfriend that Kangana would steal all the limelight in Panga and all the other characters will be overshadowed.

But now, both Rajkummar and Patralekhaa have rubbished all the rumours through their tweets. Raj tweeted, “Come on guys, didn’t expect dis from u. Just because u can put a question mark in the end doesn’t mean u can write anything. Please do your basic research before putting out such FAKE stories. We both have immense respect for Kangana. Ok am done, ab hum jakar shoot karte hain”.

Patralekhaa said that she was never approached by the makers for the film. She tweeted, “While I respect @ashwinyiyer ma’am and look forward to working with her soon…I wasn’t approached for Panga!”.

Also, there were reports that Ashwini signed a ‘no interference clause’ with Kangana. However, Tiwari called the news ‘fake and baseless’.
