Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Mental Hai Kya’ gets a new release date

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are all set to reunite after ‘Queen’ for Prakash Kovelamudi’s upcoming film ‘Mental Hai Kya’. The film which was earlier supposed to hit the silver screens on February 22, 2019 has now been pushed.

Announcing the new release date of the film, Balaji Motion Pictures took to Twitter  and wrote, “29th March’19 – Get ready to go Mental!”

Apart from Kangana and Rajkummar, ‘Mental Hai Kya’ also features Amyra Dastur, Vikrant Massey and Prakash Raj among others. With the change in their release date, the film will now avoid a clash with Ajay Devgn’s ‘De De Pyaar De’. However, with the new release date, the film might clash with ‘Luka Chuppi’.

Reportedly Kangana has demanded a profit share for this film. Divulging details about Kangana’s demand a source close to the film had told DNA, “Kangana has got into a profit-sharing deal with the makers of her next film, Mental Hai Kya (MHK). The National Award winner is known to take a keen interest in different aspects of the projects she is associated with. Also, she has always championed equal rights for heroines, and with this, she will set an example. Apparently, Kangana will henceforth ask for a share of profit in all her films.”
