Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do gets a new release date

Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s upcoming film Badhaai Do was scheduled to release on Republic Day 2022. After the lockdown restrictions were eased, the makers of Badhaai Do announced the new release date. Rajkummar and Bhumi took to their respective social media accounts to announce the date and inform fans about the same. However, the release date of Badhaai Do has been pushed. The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer will now release in February and not on Republic Day 2022. The makers made the official announcement.

Bhumi took to her Instagram to share the announcement. The actress posted a picture which reads: “Love has a new date! Badhaai Do will now release on the big screen in the month of love. The new release date for the film shall be February 4, 2o22. We cannot wait for you to witness this family entertainer on the big screen. See you at the movies.”

Pednekar shared the post and wrote, “Badhaai Do will now release in theatres on February 4, 2022! We cannot wait for you to witness this family entertainer on the big screen. See you at the movies! @rajkummar_rao @jungleepictures #HarshavardhanKulkarni #AkshatGhildial @sumadhikary (sic).”

Meanwhile, the film is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures. The film Badhaai Do is co-written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial. In the film, Rajkummar will be seen playing the role of a police officer, while Bhumi will essay the character of a PT teacher.

Badhaai Do is a sequel of the Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi starrer Badhaai Ho. The film’s shooting schedule was wrapped up in March 2021. Rajkummar and Bhumi both made posts on their Instagram and shared pictures.
