Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra to collaborate in the Hindi remake of Hit: The First Case

A new exciting film and a new onscreen pair are in the making now. According to the latest report, actors Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra will be coming together for the Hindi remake of the Telugu film, Hit: The First Case. Just recently, T-series made an announcement on their official Twitter handle about the film which will be helmed by Sailesh Kolanu who has also directed the Telugu film. The original movie stars Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. Well, now, Rajkummar and Sanya will be filling in their shoes for the upcoming film.

The actors have begun the film’s journey with a mahurat pooja ceremony today, on September 12. Sharing the happy news with their fans, T-series wrote, “The much anticipated Hindi remake, Hit – The First Case begins with a mahurat pooja ceremony.” While another well-known trade expert said, “The Hindi remake of #HIT which stars Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra has begun the film’s journey with a mahurat pooja ceremony. Present at this auspicious occasion were actor Rajkummar Rao, producers Dil Raju, Bhushan Kumar, Kuldeep Rathore, and director Dr. Sailesh Kolanu.”

Sanya and Rajkummar have starred together in Anurag Basu’s dark humour, Ludo; however, they didn’t share the screen space in the film. But this time, they will be sharing screen space with each other in Hit.

For the unversed, Hit: The First Case is about a story of a cop who is on the trail of a missing woman. The Telugu film was a profitable venture at the box office and we can’t wait to witness more details about the film.

Talking about their respective filmographies, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in The White Tiger and Roohi and both turned out to be successful ventures. He is reportedly going to feature in Hum Do Hamare Do, Badhaai Ho, Monica, O My Darling.

Whereas Sanya Malhotra who was last in Pagglait will be starring in Meenakshi Sundereshwar, Love Hostel and an untitled film with Atlee.
