Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree has released in 2018 went on to be a huge hit. The Amar Kaushik directorial brought the genre of horror comedy to the fore followed by Roohi and Bhediya. Fans have been waiting for the sequel of Stree for long. Here is the latest update on Stree 2. Reportedly the movie will go on the floor in March 2023.
As reported by sources to Midday, “While Stree was shot extensively in Chanderi and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, this time around, the narrative moves to Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The film will be shot in four cities, beginning with Delhi and the outskirts. The team will then move to Uttar Pradesh for an extensive month-long schedule. The final draft of the script is ready, and Amar is currently locking the three cities that will serve as the backdrop.”
Sources added, “Varun Dhawan will make a special appearance. Amar and the writers have woven in his character from Bhediya, thus bringing together the universes of the two distinct horror comedies.”

The story of Stree revolved around a witch who is believed to abduct men at night. Rajkummar Rao and his friends — essayed by Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee — set out to find the truth behind the legend. They suspect a mysterious woman played by Shraddha Kapoor of being a witch.
The sequel will have Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee once again reprising their roles. Reportedly Pankaj Tripathi is likely to give it a miss.
On the work front, Shraddha Kapoor also has Luv Ranjan’s romantic drama co-starring Ranbir Kapoor. Rajkummar Rao will be seen in Mr and MRS Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor and Bheed with Bhumi Pednekar.
