Rajkummar Rao & Bhumi Pednekar reunite for Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed, locks release date

Post the success of Bhadhaai Do, Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar reunite for Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed. The filmmaker who is known to shed light on socially relevant subjects is back with a new subject in his next post Article 15 and Thappad. Bheed is based on the backdrop of the 2020 India lockdown.

Bheed Release Date

Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bheed has got a release date. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Anubhav Sinha posted a frame from the movie set and captioned it, “Presenting #BHEED a social drama, shedding light on the dichotomy and complexities through the toughest times our country faced! Releasing in cinemas on 24th March 2023.” Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar also shared the same post on their Instagram profile.

In the picture, we can see Rajkummar Rao donning a police uniform, while Bhumi Pednekar can be seen discussing the script with the director.

Anubhav Sinha about Bheed

Talking about the film Sinha said, “Bheed is a story that sheds light on the social disparity that the country faced in the toughest of times. It was imperative for me to bring this story to life and share it with the audience.”

Bheed also features Pankaj Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles in this film. It is directed by Anubhav Sinha and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha’s Benaras Mediaworks.

On the work front, Rajkumar Rao was last seen in the Netflix original ‘Monica, O My Darling’, which created a buzz in the world of cine lovers. He also has Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor. Bhumi Pednekar on the other hand was last seen in, ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ alongside Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani. She also has Lady Killer with Arjun Kapoor.
