You will be surprised to know what new skill Rajkummar Rao acquired for ‘Stree’ 

Being an actor comes with its own sets of challenges. However, there are few actors who turn these challenges into opportunities and make the best out of it. Powerhouse performer Rajkummar Rao is one such dedicated and passionate actor.

For his upcoming horror comedy, Rajkummar Rao was required to play the role of a tailor. Now being the method actor that he is, Rao went a step ahead and hired a tailor to teach him sewing. Sharing about his preparation for this role of a tailor, Rao told Mumbai Mirror, “Once you sit on that chair(of the sewing machine), the coordination and reflexes are something else. You can cheat with a body double, but I wanted to do everything and bought myself a sewing machine and hired a tailor in Mumbai to teach me how to sew. I also had a tailor guiding me on the sets in Chanderi.”

Rajkummar even took a couple of weeks off from his other commitments in order to prepare for his role in ‘Stree’. “We finished the shoot in one go. The horror-comedy genre while unexplored in our country has a huge audience,” added the actor.

Now we know what it takes to make the character look real and effortless, and Rajkummar can surely go to any length to bring authenticity to his characters.

The teaser of ‘Stree’ was quite intriguing and we all are eagerly waiting for the trailer, which will be unveiled today. In ‘Stree’ Rajkummar will be working with Shraddha Kapoor for the first time. Directed by Amar Kaushik, ‘Stree’ is all set to hit the silver screens on August 31.
