Rajkummar Rao narrates his exhausting journey of going without food for his role in ‘Trapped’

Today, the trailer of Rajkummar Rao-starrer ‘Trapped‘ was unveiled and it actually gave us goosebumps. The fabulous performer that he is, Rajkummar has gone to great lengths to portray the role of a man getting trapped in his own house without food and water for many days. At the trailer launch event, Rajkummar spoke extensively about his character and how difficult it was for him to prepare for his part. He said, “It was physically and mentally exhausting to live in that space for almost 18-20 days and to eat nothing it is scary as hell. If I just ask you to not eat for 2 days, you feel so frustrated, you feel so angry on everything. There were times when there were blackouts. I used to get up and I had to sit down back. But that’s the fun of being an actor. You don’t get such films in your career and I feel lucky when I get to play such parts and get to work with these fantastic filmmakers.”

He further added, “The only point of being an actor is when you can challenge yourself. If you keep doing the same thing again and again, it’s monotonous, it’s boring. Then you can’t be in a creative job”. Well said!

‘Trapped’ is helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane and will be releasing on March 17, 2017.
