Rajkummar Rao is one of the best actors we have in Bollywood. He has given stellar performances in movies like, ‘Stree’, ‘Shahid’, ‘Newton’ and ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ among others. But, the actor’s journey was not all glitz and glam as he had a long struggle before he became this huge personality that he is today.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkummar opened up about his struggle. He said, “It used to be tough times for me. I come from a very humble middle-class background and there was a time in school when I didn’t have money and my teachers paid my school fees for two years”. He further said, “When I came to the city, we were living in a really small house. I was paying Rs 7000 of my share which I thought was too much. I needed around 15-20000 every month to survive and there were times I would get a notification that I have only 18 rupees left in my account. My friend would have 23 rupees.”

Rajkummar Rao will be seen next in ‘Made In China’ alongside Mouni Roy. However, the film’s storyline appears to be quite quirky as it revolves around ‘Magic soup’ which will help in increasing people’s sexual prowess. ‘Made In China’ also stars Boman Irani, Sumeet Vyas, Manoj Joshi, Amyra Dastur, Gajraj Rao and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. This Dinesh Vijan production is scheduled to hit the silver screens in Diwali this year.
