RajKummar Rao reveals why wife Patralekhaa applied sindoor to him during their wedding

RajKummar Rao and Patralekhaa tied the knot in November last year. The couple dated for 11 years before deciding to marry. In a recent interview, RajKummar Rao opened up about his wedding to Patralekhaa and revealed why she applied sindoor on his forehead during their wedding.

The actor called it an act of equality and added that nothing was planned. RajKummar told News18, “I didn’t read all the comments but I know a lot many people picked it up and a lot of articles were being written, in a good way. People appreciated that and it was something that was very impulsive. None of us planned it.”

RajKummar added, “I am somebody who really believes in equality and will never see somebody below me. We both are equal and that’s how it should be. So, yeah, it was very impulsive and wasn’t planned. I am glad it happened and I am hoping that somewhere it stuck people’s hearts.”

After the wedding, RajKummar had shared pictures from the ceremony and captioned it as, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa Here’s to forever… and beyond.”

On the work front, RajKummar will be seen in HIT: The First Case. It also stars Sanya Malhotra and is slated to release on July 15. Fans are beyond excited for it. A fan commented, “Damn excited.” Another one wrote, “Good.”
