Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer horror comedy movie Stree instantly became a fan favourite after its release in 20128. The audience loved the on-screen pairing of Rajkummar and Shraddha and since then have been eagerly waiting for part of the movie. Now, there have been quite a few developments around the sequel of Stree 2.

Rajkummar Rao drops a selfie with Shraddha Kapoor

On Monday, Rajkummar Rao took to his Instagram to drop a selfie with Shraddha Kapoor. While Rajkummar has a finger on his lips and tries to indicate shush, Shraddha is all smiles looking lovely in a pink dupatta and a bindi. Creating hype on Stree, the actor wrote, “Kya hoga jab fir milenge #stree aur #purush (what will happen when stree and purush meet again?).

Helmed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the shooting is for Stree 2 will begin next month. India Today reported that the duo will commence shooting for their movie this July. The film is slated to release on August 31, 2024.

Behind the scenes from the script reading sessions of Stree 2

A few days back, director Amar Kaushik shared the snaps from the script reading sessions of Stree 2. In the first post which he shared, we can see Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee completely engrossed in reading their script. He wrote in the caption, “Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe. Feels like Déjà Vu !!!.”

About the movie Stree

Stree’s story is inspired by a popular Karnataka urban legend called Nale Ba, which means “Come tomorrow.” The movie revolves around an Indian folk tale about a witch who takes away men in the darkness of the night, leaving only their clothes behind.
