Guns & Gulaabs: Rajkummar Rao to star in Raj & DK’s Netflix series, shares first look

On Tuesday morning, Rajkummar Rao took his fans by surprise after he announced his upcoming Netflix web series, Guns & Gulaabs, which is set to be created, produced, and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K also known as Raj & DK, under the D2R Films production.

The Hum Do Hamare Do actor shared the first look on his social media and captioned it as: “So thrilled to announce the first look of my first Netflix series #GunsAndGulaabs. तैयार हो जाइए because I’m coming to bring the ? in my 90s avatar! Brace yourself for an exciting adventure filled with crime, love and dhamakedaar punchlines. Guns & Gulaabs, created, produced & directed by the supremely talented @rajanddk coming soon on @netflix_in @d2r_films”

Apart from Rajkummar, Adarsh Gourav & Dulquer Salmaan also shared unveiled the first look.

Dulquer also shared the first look from the web series and wrote: “Put on your seatbelts and get ready for a ride back to the 90s with me. Here’s presenting my first look from Guns & Gulaabs, my first ever webseries and my first collab with the amazing duo @rajanddk. @rajkummar_rao, @gouravadarsh, @tjbhanu, @gulshandevaiah78 and our other talented co-stars will join me for this thrilling ride. ?”

The story of Guns & Gulaabs is about love and innocence set in a world of crime, inspired by the world’s misfits. The web-series is set to uniquely blend the romance of the 90s with a crime thriller while effortlessly lacing it in humour.

Meanwhile, this is Rajkummar’s second collaboration with the filmmaker duo. Earlier they worked on 2018 hit Stree, which was written and produced by Raj & DK.

Apart from this, Rajkummar has interesting projects in his pipeline. Rao was recently seen in the family drama Badhaai Do alongside Bhumi Pednekar. He will next be seen in Mr & Mrs Mahi opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Rajkummar Rao will be collaborating with Janhvi Kapoor for the second time after Roohi. He also has Netflix film, Monica, O My Darling and Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed.
