RajKummar Rao and Vaani Kapoor to team up for a love story, details inside

RajKummar Rao and Anubhav Sinha have proved to be an impeccable team on screen. The actor-filmmaker duo has paired up before on this year’s social drama Bheed. The film set in the Covid times provided an intense story. They have also worked on an anthology that is yet-to-be released. And already, seems like a third collaboration is in the works, this time with RajKummar Rao and Vaani Kapoor.

RajKummar Rao and Vaani Kapoor to star in a love story

As per latest reports, RajKummar and Vaani are all set for their maiden collaboration. And it will be produced by Anubhav. It also marks his first team up with the actress. A source told Pinkvilla, “Anubhav Sinha is producing a small-town love story titled Bachpan Ka Pyar. It will star Rajkummar and Vaani in the lead. It’s a quirky love story set in Lucknow. The film will be directed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, who previously helmed the Jitendra Kumar-starrer romantic comedy Chaman Bahaar. Both Rajkummar and Vaani have signed the film and will begin shooting for it sometime next month.” This will truly be an interesting and fresh pairing with Raj and Vaani coming together.

RajKummar and Vaani upcoming movies

Raj has a lot of interesting projects in his pipeline. First up is the biopic of Srikanth Bhola titled Sri. He plays a blind man in the film. Then, he has the sports drama Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor which will release next year. He will also be making his OTT debut with Raj and DK’s Guns and Gulaabs. Recently, Raj started the shooting for Stree 2 with Shraddha Kapoor as well.

As for Vaani, the actress’ last project was Shamshera opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Up next, she reportedly has Dinesh Vijan’s social comedy Sarvagunn Sampanna alongside Ishwak Singh. She will reportedly reunite with Akshay Kumar for Khel Khel Mein, also featuring Taapsee Pannu. Just like Raj, Vaani will also soon make her OTT debut. She is starring in Yash Raj Films’ Mandala Murders.
