Actor Rajpal Yadav has landed amidst a legal soup. We earlier reported that the Delhi High Court ordered him to serve imprisonment for ten days for filing a false affidavit, out of which he served only four days (December 3 to December 6, 2013). Latest updates suggest that he has been instructed by the Supreme Court to serve the rest six days of jail term.
Earlier this week, MG Agarwal, a businessman located out of Delhi filed a suit against Yadav and his wife, accusing them of failing to repay an amount of Rs 5 crore he had lent them.
Yadav credited the reason to repay the loan to commercial failure to one of his films. The false affidavit filed by him in 2013 had his wife Radha’s signature forged.
He has been asked to surrender immediately and serve his tenure in the jail.
