Raju Srivastava Health update: Comedian’s family issues statement, informs his condition is stable

Ace comedian Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital in Delhi. Now amid rumours of his health condition deteriorating, his family has issued an official statement. They have said that his condition is stable.

The ace comedian’s family has also urged one and all not to pay heed to the rumours and fake news.

“Dear all, Raju Srivastava Ji’s condition is stable. We are praying for his speedy recovery. The doctors are treating him and are doing their best. Thanks to all the well-wishers for their continued love and support. Please ignore any rumour/fake news being circulated. Please pray for him. – Raju Srivastava’s Family,” the statement reads.

For the unversed, the comedian collapsed while running on the treadmill in a gym in South Delhi. He was rushed to the hospital by his trainer and was given CPR followed by angioplasty.

As per reports by PTI, Raju Srivastava was brought to the AIIMS emergency at around 10:45 am on Wednesday. The comedian also underwent angioplasty and has been admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU).

Reportedly,Prime Minister Narendra Modi dialed his wife to enquire about the comedian’s health. The PM also offered full support to Srivastava’s family. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rajnath Singh and more have also enquired about the ace comedian’s health.

Raju Srivastava is a popular name on the comedy circuit. He  has also participated in several comedy shows including The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala, Comedy Circus, and Comedy Nights with Kapil.
