Rakhi Sawant urges people to start a #HeToo and #MenToo movement

Rakhi Sawant is a unique individual, isn’t she? When the whole of India is raising issues about women’s safety and security at the workplace in the wake of sexual harassment reports and as a result #MeToo movement in India got created. But, Rakhi Sawant has urged people to start somewhat bizarre movement called #HeToo and #MenToo and her logic is that men are also victims of sexual harassment.

Rakhi Sawant took to Instagram and shared a series of videos wherein she rubbished Tanushree’s allegations against Nana Patekar and Ganesh Acharya and also added that it’s unfair of the world to judge on the basis of #MeToo. She also urged people to start a #MenToo and #HeToo campaign so that men could share their side of stories and their grievances could also be heard.

Rakhi Sawant, incidentally had replaced Tanushree Dutta in the item song of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’, after Tanushree had left the sets of the film citing sexual harassment by Nana Patekar. This movement by Rakhi Sawant will no doubt polarise opinion and start a new debate about sexual harassment irrespective of gender.
