Yesterday, we informed you that Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has finally summoned Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and other celebs whose name cropped up in the drugs-related probe in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
Reportedly, Rakul was summoned by the agency today. However, the actress claimed that she hasn’t received any summons yet. Interestingly, NCB officials confirmed that they have indeed summoned the actress but she hasn’t responded yet. And now the latest update states that Rakul has finally acknowledged the summons.
Looks like there’s too much of confusion going on or is the actress just trying to buy some more time?
Earlier today, NCB officials told ANI, “Summon was issued to Rakul Preet Singh yesterday. We tried to contact her through various platforms, but she has not responded yet.” Whereas the actress issued a statement saying, “I have not received the alleged summons either at Mumbai or Hyderabad so far.”
Shortly after her statement, NCB officials told ANI, “Yes, Rakul Preet Singh has acknowledged the summons and updated her latest address.” Seems like there was some confusion regarding the actress’ current address.

So now according to the latest reports, Rakul will finally appear before the investigating agency on September 25.
Apart from Rakul, Deepika Padukone is also expected to arrive at the NCB office on September 25. The leggy beauty will be flying back from Goa and arriving in Mumbai today. Whereas Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor are expected to appear before the agency on September 26.
The names of all these actresses emerged when NCB started interrogating Sushant’s former manager Shruti Modi and talent manager Jaya Saha. For more updates on this case, stay tuned to Bollywood Bubble.
