With ‘De De Pyaar De’ crossing the Rs 50 crore mark, Rakul Preet Singh is on a high. In spite of sharing screen space with two stalwart actors – Ajay Devgn and Tabu, she holds her own and lights up the screen.

Not just the audience, but film critics and trade pundits alike are giving her a thumbs-up. “Rakul will break into the Top 3 league should she select the right kind of subjects in Bollywood,” a trade analyst has been quoted as saying.

Speaking about ‘De De Pyaar De’, the ‘Aiyaary’ actress said in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, “Each character is well-etched and the premise is all the more relevant in today’s time when relationships are not defined by numbers. It’s about finding the right companion without age being a consideration. The subject has been treated light-heartedly, but there’s a strong emotional undercurrent. And despite the fact that the man is caught between his ex-wife and a much-younger woman he is dating, it’s a wholesome comedy that I can watch with my parents.”

With rave reviews and adulation, this young actress is surely here to stay! We really hope to see more of her on the big screen soon.
