Rakul Preet Singh starrer Chhatriwali gets a release date, to stream on an OTT platform

Rakul Preet Singh is back in the city post her New Year vacation with beau Jackky Bhagnani. Today the Runway 34 actress took to Instagram and shared an update for her upcoming release Chhatriwali. Rakul Preet Singh dropped a motion poster of the social drama and revealed that the movie will premiere on Zee5 on 20th January 2023.

Chhatriwali is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar. The film aims to drive home a strong social message on the importance of male contraceptives and safe sex. The story is all about a simple shy Haryanvi girl who gets the job of a quality control head in a condom factory. Though she is embarrassed about her job initially, she soon realises the importance of safe sex. The movie also features Sumeet Vyas and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. It will release on Zee5 on January 20th.

On the work front, Rakul Preet has had a successful 2022 with some back-to-back releases like Thank God, Doctor G, Runway 34, Cuttputlli, and Attack. She has a movie with Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in her kitty. Though the actors have begun shooting for the movie an official announcement of the same is yet to be made.
