Here’s what happened when Rakul Preet decided to replicate Ajay Devgn’s iconic split

Bollywood films, in recent times, have become very competitive and every strategic move is greatly analysed. From trailer launch to song launch, every little detail is paid great attention to and nothing is left to chance. Now, Ajay Devgn will be starring with Tabu and Rakul Preet in ‘De De Pyaar De’.

The first poster of Akiv Ali’s directorial debut ‘De De Pyaar De’ had Ajay Devgn split between Rakul Preet and Tabu. Ajay’s leg split on the poster has inspired the ‘Split Like AJ’ challenge on Twitter, in which netizens attempt to recreate his iconic pose.

Rakul too, decided to take the challenge but despite her best efforts, she could not nail the split. She took to her Twitter account to share a picture of her unsuccessful split. “Still cannot #SplitLikeAJ…but I tried!!!,” she captioned it.

Rakul was quite chuffed about the film and told India Today, “It’s a very new take on romantic comedies. I have a very meaty role.” Talking about working with Ajay and Tabu for the first time, Rakul said, “I get a chance to work with two such fine actors and it’s a great script and a great role, so I’m very excited about that.”

‘De De Pyaar De’ is scheduled to hit theatres on May 17, 2019.
