Coronavirus is spreading like wildfire all over the world. Everyone is in a state of panic and frenzy. Nations are in lockdown as citizens are asked to practice self-isolation, hence people have been in quarantine for weeks now. The situation is quite grim right now. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma recently tried to lighten the situation as he played the April Fool’s prank on social media.
RGV took to his Twitter handle and made his fan’s skip a heartbeat as he tweeted that he has tested positive for Covid-19. He wrote, “My doctor just told me that I tested positive with Corona (sic).”

This sent Twitterati into a frenzy, wondering if what he said was true. But, Varma soon cleared the air as he wrote that it was in fact an April Fool’s prank played by his doctor on him. The ‘Satya’ director wrote, “Sorry to disappoint, but now he tells me it’s a April Fool joke ? it’s his fault and not mine (sic).”

Varma later apologized for his tweet and said that he was just trying to make light of the grim situation. He explained, “Anyway I am just trying to make light of a grim situation but the joke is on me and if I dint offend anyone I sincerely apologise to them(sic).”

Only Varma can pull off something like this given the severity of the situation.
