Ram Gopal Varma is sorry for his derogatory tweet on Sunny Leone

On International Women’s Day, when everybody was celebrating womanhood and wishing the women in their lives, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was doing what he is notorious for, i.e. posting distasteful tweets on his social media page. This time, his target was the sexy actress Sunny Leone. Well, we all are aware of Sunny Leone’s roots and how she started out in Bollywood after being a star in the adult film industry of the West.

So, RGV took the opportunity of Women’s Day to take digs at the actress and wrote on Twitter, “I wish all the women in the world give as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives.” Well, he did receive severe backlash from innumerable Twitter users, so he also sent some tweets clarifying his stand by saying that Sunny is not famous for her body, but for her pride and also called her as more honest.

But, the damage was done as he started receiving many threats by NCP and also a police complaint was filed against him by an activist in Goa. So, with no option left, the filmmaker finally decided to apologise for his tweet, but with a disclaimer.

This is not the first time that he has landed in trouble for his tweets. Just recently, when actor Tiger Shroff celebrated his birthday, RGV poked fun at him in a tweet by calling him a homosexual. RGV is infamous for his derogatory tweets and now let’s see if the threats and the complaint filed against him are taken back, owing to his apology tweets.
