Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati gave his friends and fans a pleasant surprise by announcing his engagement with Miheeka Bajaj. The ‘Baahubali’ actor posted a lovely picture with Miheeka and soon he was flooded with congratulatory messages from his industry friends and colleagues. And one of them was Sonam Kapoor who welcomed Rana into the family.

The actress’ entire family congratulated Rana over his engagement. So you must be wondering why Sonam congratulated Rana in such a way. Well, the ‘Baahubali’ actor’s fiancee Miheeka is a very dear friend of Sonam.

Congratulating Rana upon his engagement, Sonam took to the Twitter and wrote, “Congratulations Rana and my lovely Miheeka.. you guys are going to be amazing together! Welcome to the fam Rana!(sic).”

Whereas, Anil Kapoor wrote on Rana’s post, “Congratulations my Hyderabad son .. I am so happy .. the best thing to happen to both of you.” And then came Rhea Kapoor’s wish for the couple as she took to her Insta stories and wrote, “The best quarantine news ever congratulations my baby Miheeka, in these dark times you found your light @Ranadaggubati what a lucky guy#Lovelockdown.(sic)”

For the unversed, Sonam and Miheeka’s friendship goes way back. They have constantly shared posts for each other on their social media handles and in one of them while wishing Sonam on her birthday, Miheeka wrote, “Happy birthday my beautiful baby!! Wishing you many many more years of love, luck, happiness, health and success! You’ll always be my sister who’s lap I would run and sit on.. Love you @sonamkapoor (sic).”
