A few days back there was an intimate roka ceremony of Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj in the presence of their close friends and families. The actor’s producer father Suresh Babu, has now confirmed that the wedding of his son will take place on August 8. Confirming the news to Deccan Chronicle, Suresh Babu told that the wedding will take place according to the guidelines set by the government to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. He also said that members of both will attend the ceremony.
Rana recently posted pictures of his roka ceremony with his ladylove Miheeka Bajaj where he was seen dressed in a white kurta while Miheeka was in a bright pink saree. He captioned the pictures as “And it’s official!!” Congratulatory messages poured in for the couple as everyone thought they were engaged. But later, Rana’s dad cleared the reports.
Speaking to The New Indian Express, Suresh said, “It’s not an engagement. Our families sat together on Wednesday to discuss what all has to be done for the pre and post-wedding functions. It’s a ritual among the Telugus to meet the bride’s parents before fixing the engagement and wedding dates. We are happy to take these alliance talks forward.”

Earlier, during an Instagram live session with Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu, Rana spoke about Miheeka and his relationship with her. He said, “The girl was right. I can’t put it in words. I met her and felt I can do this long term with her. It happened quick and in the most simple manner.” When asked about the wedding if it will be a grand one, he said, “Depends on the world’s situation. I found the strangest time to get married”.
